The WiseMINDS Pharmacy Professional Service Program
The WiseMINDS Pharmacy Professional Service Program is an educational program that will help pharmacists to upskill in the area of mental health and implement services that improve early recognition of mental health conditions, optimise the quality use of medicines, build awareness through better self-care literacy and reduce the stigma of mental health conditions.
The WiseMINDS Mission
Mental health is essential and those living with mental health conditions are deserving of care, understanding, compassion, and pathways to hope, healing, recovery, and fulfillment. All healthcare professionals can play a part in improving health literacy of mental health within their scope of practice. WiseMINDS aims to provide a Pharmacy Professional Service Program that will enable pharmacists to be able to identify early signs of anxiety, depression and occupational stress and provide supportive literacy of this awareness to consumers to seek health professional advice early. WiseMINDS is also focused on the mental health of healthcare professionals themselves and to build awareness about signs of burnout, prevention of this syndrome and to empower towards self-care so that they can continue to optimise the service they provide within the healthcare system.
